This tool maps the available evidence about the use of information and communication technology (eHealth) to improve HIV prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care for key populations and young people.
Evidence maps present a structured, transparent, and replicable overview of all the available research evidence on a question of interest. They allow decision-makers and researchers to investigate the entire body of evidence, rigorously assessed and organised using systematic review principles.
The information in this evidence map, which includes a total of 74 studies, can be filtered by country, region, population, study design and intervention effectiveness.
This map highlights substantial knowledge gaps, which should inform strategic thinking around investments in research and programmes.
For information about how the map was developed and how it can be used, click on the ‘User guide’ publication below.
The evidence map was produced by the Alliance and Africa Centre for Evidence at the University of Johannesburg, and funded by ViiV Healthcare through the Positive Action programme.
